In the picturesque yet remote island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the local community lacked access to advanced imaging diagnostics despite intensive efforts in healthcare development by the local authorities. Patients were forced to travel to other islands, which not only incurred additional costs and logistical difficulties but also extended the time required for diagnosis and treatment.
To address this need, we provided a comprehensive imaging diagnostic unit equipped with a GE Healthcare 1.5T MRI scanner. Our solution, tailored to local conditions and requirements, enables island residents to access high-quality healthcare without the need to travel abroad. This marks the first MRI installation in the country.
In addition to the modular MRI building, we also delivered a mobile power unit, ensuring a stable power source. As our engineers witnessed, this solution is crucial in places with unreliable electrical grids. Thanks to the JMP POWER UNIT, all examinations can be safely completed, even in challenging conditions.
